Refrigerated cabinets

Installing high-efficiency refrigerated display cases is an eligible activity under both the NSW Energy Saving Scheme (ESS) and Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS). The schemes act to incentivise end users to purchase energy-efficient appliances whilst also placing a carbon cost on electricity generators; the overall outcome is a reduction in power usage, peak demand and emissions as well as driving the transition of electricity generation towards renewable and lower carbon sources.

Expert Group work with case manufacturers and refrigeration contractors to support end users with their investment in new refrigerated display equipment. The two NSW schemes provide a rebate that helps bridge the cost gap between purchasing top of the range, high-efficiency refrigerated display cases and cheaper alternatives.

Expert Group work with major refrigerated display case suppliers who supply high-quality, energy-efficient refrigerated display cases into the Australian market.

The scheme covers both remote and self-contained (plug-in) case formats and fridge and freezer temperature classes installed in new premises or as part of a refurbishment.

Chillers

Installing high efficiency ‘cooling only’ chillers is an eligible activity under the NSW Energy Saving Scheme. Chillers are a major electricity consumer in commercial buildings and investment in a more efficient model can significantly reduce running costs. The NSW Energy Saving Scheme provide a rebate that helps cover some of the cost of an installing a premium, high efficiency chiller and provides an improved ROI for your investment.

Expert Group work with major chiller manufacturers, mechanical contractors and consultants to support the purchasing process and claim rebates for chiller installations.

Both air and water-cooled chillers are eligible under the NSW Energy Saving Scheme.
